PROGRAMS

CULTURAL ARTS/WRITERS-IN-RESIDENCE

Responsible for researching and procuring a season of cultural arts performances throughout the school year for our students, and for hiring writers-in-residence for the different grade levels.

REFLECTIONS

A NCPTA arts program, which allows students to submit various types of art works for a themed competition.

SERVICE COMMITTEE

The Service Committee coordinates PTA efforts to help meet the needs of any Brooks student whose family has a need or has encountered some type of emergency situation. Examples of the Service Committee’s work are BackPack Buddies, winter coat drive, gift card drive, and Brooks Community Needs SignUp Genius.

BOOK STOP

This program rewards students for good deeds by giving them a gently used book. The Book Stop opens two days per week, from 8:45-9:15 AM.  This program will resume at a later date. Stay tuned for more.

SCHOOL STORE

The PTA operates a school store one day per week to allow students to purchase school supply items at a reasonable cost.  This program will resume at a later date. Stay tuned for more!

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

Ensures that the PTA is both proactive and responsive to the needs of all students and families, by working to create and maintain an inclusive environment of respect, while understanding and appreciating our differences.

VARIETY SHOW

The PTA plans and executes a Variety Show for 4th and 5th Graders.

ONLINE SCHOOL SUPPLIES

This program allows families to order school supply kits online prior to the start of school.

OUR COMMUNITY READS DAY

A day where we celebrate reading by having outside Community Members come in to read to the Brooks students.

FIELD DAY

A day of fun and physical activity for the Brooks students.
