Learn about the programs funded by the Brooks PTA.

Cultural Arts

Responsible for researching and procuring a season of cultural arts performances throughout the school year for our students.

Diversity & Inclusion

We ensure that the PTA is both proactive and responsive to the needs of all students and families, by working to create and maintain an inclusive environment of respect, while understanding and appreciating our differences.

Field Day

A day of fun and physical activity for the Brooks students!

Reflections

A NCPTA arts program, which allows students to submit various types of art works for a themed competition. We plan to bring this program back for the 2024–25 school year.

Online School Supplies

This program allows families to order school supply kits online prior to the start of school.

Bike & Roll to School Day

Celebrate the joy of active commuting while building a sense of community and school spirit. We coordinate one event in the fall and one in the spring.

Book Stop

This program rewards students for good deeds by giving them a gently used book. The Book Stop opens two days per week, from 8:45–9:15 AM.

Our Community Reads Day

A day where we celebrate reading by having outside Community Members come in to read to the Brooks students.

5th Grade Gift

We coordinate an artist working with the 5th grade to leave a gift to the school.

Teenage Students Raising Hands

If you're interested in helping or learning more about any of these committees, please email our VP of Programs, Beth Thaxton.
